The first meeting of the scientific and preparatory committee for the Coronavirus pandemic conference was held today, Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at the meeting hall of the Research and Consultation Center. The meeting was attended by:

1. Professor Dr. Khalid Mohammed Aldabie, as the Chairman of the Scientific Committee.
2. Dr. Ismail Hussein Buzakouk, as the Chairman of the Preparatory and Organizational Committee. And the committee members:
3. Professor Dr. Abdel Rahim Mohammed Al-Badri.
4. Professor Dr. Awad Abdul Rahman Al-Ahyoul.
5. Dr. Jumaa Mohammed Al-Fatissi.
6. Dr. Tawfiq Mohammed Al-Taweel.
7. Dr. Mohammed Ali Al-Kwafi.
8. Dr. Jazia Jibril Shaitir.
9. Dr. Fatima Saleh Ben Khayal.
10. Dr. Salemin Khalid Al-Shalmani.
11. Ms. Salima Bou Baker Al-Faqi.
12. Ms. Sariya Saleh Al-Talhi.
13. Engineer Yamen Ahmed Al-Tayar.

During this meeting, many issues were discussed and emphasized as a first step to start the actual preparation for the conference, including:

• Adoption of the conference name and logo.
• Determination of important dates for receiving abstracts and complete papers, and responding to the acceptance or rejection of research.
• Identification of the objectives and most important topics that achieve the conference’s goal.
• Distribution of tasks to the scientific and preparatory committees.

A detailed brochure containing many details and important dates for researchers and those interested in this conference will be issued. As we are accustomed to from Benghazi University, it is the pioneer in such scientific and research initiatives to contribute to providing services to all segments of the local and global community.
