The University of Benghazi Council holds an emergency meeting to discuss the proposed regulations for distance education.
In the presence of Dr. Azzedine Al-Darsi, the President of The University of Benghazi, Dr. Abdul Karim Al-Ghazali, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, college deans, and center directors, an evening meeting was held yesterday, Sunday, at the Sanaa Mhaidli Complex. The University administration ensured the implementation of precautionary measures issued by the Supreme Committee to Combat the Coronavirus Pandemic.
During this meeting, the proposed regulations for distance learning were discussed, and they were referred to the Ministry of Education for review and dissemination to other universities. The meeting also discussed the optimal methods to complete the current academic year.
Given that the Ministry of Education’s response regarding the proposal for distance learning is expected by the end of this month, the University Council decided to wait until then. In the meantime, each college was instructed to take necessary procedural and preventive measures in case the decision is made to resume studies after the end of the lockdown period.
