Benghazi University Partners with a Spanish Institution
This Thursday morning, a meeting was held with a committee consisting of Dr. Ahmed Al-Zorouq, Dr. Youssef Al-Zaghwani Omar, Dr. Youssef Al-Qamati, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awami, and Dr. Mariam Al-Barghathi. The committee is tasked with conducting a survey on the COVID-19 pandemic and its economic, social, political, and educational impacts on Libyan society.
The meeting was attended by the President of Benghazi University, Dr. Azzedine Al-Darsi.
Dr. Youssef Al-Zaghwani Omar, a faculty member in the English Language Department at the Faculty of Languages and a board member of the Research and Consultation Center at the university, stated that the meeting was productive. They discussed the survey and the specific study conducted, which included a sample of around nine hundred individuals across Libya. The results of this study will be published in about two weeks.
Additionally, they discussed correspondence from a Spanish institution regarding Benghazi University’s potential membership and partnership with them. President Al-Darsi expressed his agreement to initiate these programs, emphasizing Benghazi University’s commitment to development and advancement at local, regional, and international levels.
This institution, supported by the European Union, comprises approximately 21 universities worldwide. In a previous conversation with the responsible individual, it was stated that Benghazi University is highly esteemed academically, and they are honored to form a partnership with it.
This partnership or agreement will have a positive impact on Benghazi University administratively, educationally, and academically, benefiting both staff and students. We ask Allah to grant us success in contributing to the advancement of our university to even greater heights than it stands today.
