Dr. Azeddin Eldressi, the Director of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Department, contributed effectively to the workshop titled “Scientific Research in Libyan Universities: Between Reality and Aspiration”, which was held at the Sanaa Mhaidly Auditorium in the Medical Colleges Complex at The University of Benghazi.

The workshop was attended by a large number of faculty members from Benghazi University and those interested in scientific research. Valuable papers and scientific research were presented on the current status of scientific research in Libya and its importance in knowledge production and service to Libyan universities and society.

The workshop concluded with the presentation of a set of recommendations and proposals for the development of scientific research and the importance of its publication in internationally recognized and peer-reviewed journals.
