This morning, Tuesday, a workshop titled ‘Fostering an Innovative Environment in Universities’ was held in the conference hall at the Research and Consultation Center. The workshop theme was ‘Disseminate – Enhance – Integrate – Innovation Culture in Universities.’ It was attended by Dr. Azzeddine Al-Darsi, the university president, Dr. Abdelkarim Al-Ghazali, the university’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Zurq, the Director of the Research and Consultation Center, along with center directors, deans of faculties, and a number of individuals interested in fostering innovation in universities. This workshop was organized by the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Department in collaboration with the Libyan Observatory for Science, Technology, and Innovation Indicators. The workshop comprised two sessions covering topics such as promoting innovation culture in society, the role of innovation in universities in transferring and applying research, as well as forecasting the future and supporting decision-making. Additionally, scientific research and innovation in cognitive science were discussed to enhance performance and capabilities.
