The Quality Assurance Management is responsible for establishing an effective quality assurance system and disseminating its culture among the stakeholders involved in educational services. This is to instill the principles of self-assessment for continuous development and improvement in accordance with the quality assurance and accreditation standards issued by the center.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and implementing the general policies for performance evaluation and quality assurance for all academic and administrative units of the university, ensuring understanding, conviction, and enthusiasm among all stakeholders regarding these policies.
- Reviewing and updating the university’s strategy, mission, and core objectives in light of developments and innovations to enhance and update the educational process.
- Assisting the university’s faculties, centers, and departments in establishing performance evaluation and quality assurance units, supervising these units technically, and providing advice for conducting self-assessment studies, preparation, and readiness for accreditation.
- Preparing and planning monitoring, inspection, and self-evaluation systems for the university’s activities, faculties, departments, and various academic and administrative programs. This involves monitoring and identifying deficiencies in each faculty separately and in university facilities to rectify and address these deficiencies and providing a report containing observations and recommendations.
- Conducting field visits to faculties to ensure compliance with the quality assurance standards and requirements of the Quality Assurance Center.
- Compiling and analyzing the results of self-assessment studies, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and providing proposals to improve the performance of various units at the university as a fundamental step towards obtaining accreditation that enhances educational quality.
- Establishing a database for programs and academic degrees awarded by the university and all its administrative units to monitor the development of the educational process.
- Disseminating information related to quality assurance and accreditation mechanisms to instill awareness among stakeholders about the importance of implementing the quality assurance and accreditation system.
- Holding regular meetings for quality coordinators in faculties, including strategic planning and implementation plans for quality application at the university.
- Communicating with external quality-focused entities for mutual benefit and exchange of experiences.
- Direct communication and coordination with quality assurance and accreditation centers for educational institutions to monitor programmatic and institutional evaluation and accreditation processes.
- Providing the university president with a report containing the positives and negatives resulting from internal and external audits.
