The first regular meeting of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Office at The University of Benghazi was held with the quality coordinators from the colleges and their scientific branches on Thursday, January 30, 2020, at 10:00 AM, at the meeting hall of the Research and Consultation Center at the main administration in Al-Hamidiyah.
The meeting was attended by 22 quality coordinators, while eight coordinators were absent. During the meeting, the minutes of the previous meeting held in June 2019 were approved. Additionally, the annual report for the year 2018, prepared by the Quality Assurance Office based on reports issued by the scientific colleges and their branches at the university, was presented and discussed to assess the current situation, problems, solutions, and suggestions for addressing them.
Annual report templates for the year 2019 were distributed to the quality coordinators in the colleges, along with data collection forms for the quality coordinators in the colleges, their branches, and scientific departments. It was emphasized that the completed forms should be returned three weeks after the meeting date to achieve the fourth item of the administration’s strategic plan for the year 2020.
After discussing all the meeting agenda items, proposals, and recommendations to support the educational process and address some of the drawbacks hindering its quality, the Director of the Office thanked and appreciated the attendees for their efforts and transparent discussion. The meeting concluded at 1:00 PM.
